Imagine 5,000 attendees showcasing 677 innovative technology projects on display from 12 different countries. From sustainability and artificial intelligence to drones and cryptocurrency projects – I’m sure there were a few future LogMeIn developers in the crowd!
Organized by the CoderDojo Foundation, the Coolest Projects International annual event hosted children aged 7 to 17 from around the world on Saturday, May 26th in Dublin who have had an idea and made it a reality using the skills they have learned at their local CoderDojo. CoderDojo Coolest Projects is a world leading showcase that inspires the next generation of digital creators, innovators, changemakers and entrepreneurs.
In the LogMeIn booth, we had a fun LastPass safe that kids had to “crack the password” to unlock LogMeIn goodies and swag. Jeremy Sutton, Boston CoderDojo Mentor and Senior Software Engineer at LogMeIn, had the kids using a simple programming language to navigate a Dash & Dot robot through a maze and obstacles. Riccardo Dessole, Customer Support Representative at LogMeIn, was a judge for the day, reviewing and voting on projects.
It was an inspiring event and we can’t wait to come back next year. Check out our pictures from the day!
