REFLECTING ON A YEAR OF SERVICE
As we prepare to take some time off to be with our families and loved ones for the holiday season, we wanted to reflect on the love and generosity shared by our employees this past year. It has been an incredibly busy year for our Mission Possible volunteers. Having officially launched just over a year ago in November 2015, Mission Possible, seeks to create greater possibilities in life for children and developing communities by supporting non-profit organizations that promote early education and social mobility with financial contributions, volunteer support and donated product.
We have come a long way to get our CSR program to where it is today and it has truly become a global movement. All of our offices – from Boston to London to Bangalore – have joined forces to make a positive impact on the global community. Watching our employees come together, across the world for the greater good is awe inspiring. It also makes me personally thankful for a few things; 1) having an amazing job at a company with a culture that promotes giving 2) that our leadership team believes in Mission Possible whole-heartedly and 3) that our employees are ROCK SOLID doers and jump at the chance to volunteer for causes that fit within our mission.
This holiday season we’d like to thank the non-profits we support for doing amazing work each and every day. Without you, so many of your causes would go overlooked and untouched. And a big thank you to our employees for rallying in the spirit of giving and coming together to help make a difference. Mission Possible is excited to see what the new year brings and is looking forward to making an even bigger impact in 2017!
Here are some highlights from our year of service:
LogMeIn-ers in the Bangalore office volunteered at the NGO Desire Society whose objective is to assist in the health development and well-being of children infected and affected with HIV and AIDS in India.
The London team spent a day helping Wrap up London sort and distribute coats and warm weather gear to those who need it most. They helped sort 1,060 coats, plus at least another 1,000 accessories in 5 hours!
Mission Possible volunteers from our Boston office spent the day with Cradles to Crayons, an organization that provides children from birth to age 12, living in low- income and homeless situations, with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play. The team helped fill 179 packages filled with clothes, jackets, shoes, books, school supplies, toys, and hygiene kits.
Mission Possible held it’s 3rd Annual Back-to-School Fundraiser where LogMeIn employees in Boston donated funds to support Project MEMA’s 2017 school year in Moshi, Tanzania. Additionally, Mission Possible donated 200 sweatshirts for Project MEMA’s nursery school students!
Earlier this year, LogMeIn’s Mission Possible committee teamed up with TUGG’s Tech Gives Back to get out of the office and into the community to give back to local nonprofits. Tech Gives Back consisted of teams both small and large who donated their time across more than 50 volunteer sites, giving over 9,000 hours of volunteer service in one day. The Mission Possible team spent the day painting inside a local substance abuse recovery home.
