Mission Possible Partners with The Boston Foundation

Did you know that 86 percent of Americans want companies to do more than make a profit? They want them to address social and environmental issues too. And that’s not all. Seventy-four percent of workers say their jobs are more fulfilling when they can have a positive impact on their community.* And with 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)/ global challenges to work on over the next few years there is a lot to be done in our communities.

That is why charitable giving has been in LogMeIn’s DNA for over 5 years and that’s why we formalized and expanded our CSR program at the beginning of 2018. If you haven’t heard of Mission Possible, it unlocks the potential of people, products and culture to create a long-term, sustainable social and environmental impact that positively affects change in the world and improve people’s lives. Focusing on our two community investment impact areas: Education & Youth Programs and Critical Human Need, we provide grants, product licenses and volunteer time to our partners in the U.S., Canada, Brazil, Guatemala, the UK, Ireland, Germany, Hungary, Israel, India and Australia.

Today, we’re excited to announce that we’re continuing to expand our Mission Possible program with our partnership with the Boston Foundation, which has allowed us to make grants to non-profits and NGOs through a Company Advised Fund to communities around the world. The Boston Foundation, founded in 1915, is one of the oldest and largest community foundations in the United States. Opening a Company Advised Fund at the Boston Foundation is a great alternative to establishing a private foundation for a company’s philanthropy.

Partnering with the Boston Foundation has allowed Mission Possible to streamline our grant-making process and has taken our CSR program to the next level of giving. We chose the Boston Foundation because of their 100-year long history in Boston, commitment to philanthropy and true partnership model. Not only do they help with grant-making through a Company Advised Fund, but their team is fantastic – they share CSR best practices, connect LogMeIn with like-minded companies and introduce us to potential partners.

Mission Possible’s first grants made via the Boston Foundation are supporting disaster relief efforts in the Kerala and Karnataka regions of India after recent severe flooding and STEM education initiatives, which are a large focus of our CSR efforts this year. Stay tuned for additional updates!
